Last Week
Sunday
We were supposed to tour my relatives in Trinoma, but were not able to because of the typhoon Frank. When we left home, it was already pouring very hard and we can barely see the road. (Our car is very old and the air conditioner is not working for a long time now.) The fog covers the windshield, and I had to wipe it out every time. While on our way, we decided to turn back and cancel the engagement. After some time driving through Rockwell area going back to Ayala, we received a text message that the flood already entered our grandma’s house (where my aunt and cousins stay). My family and I decided to stay in Glorietta to buy some groceries and watch a movie – Get Smart. We also played in Time Zone. I tried my luck with the crane. I got three mushrooms (1up mushroom stuff toy from Mario Bros.), the last with the help of my dad.
Monday
I was not supposed to go out today and instead focus on doing my thesis. However, my mom urged me to accompany my relatives to Trinoma, which I did. My brother and I rode the MRT to Trinoma and met with them in Crossings. We chomped and at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. I was so full after the meal, because we ordered a lot! And some don’t eat certain foods, so Ghee and I was “forced” to eat them all
. We went strolling around and accompanied them to shop around, to Time Zone and to National Bookstore to buy some school supplies for them (since it is cheaper here than in the States). They got a lot of tickets and since Cassy likes stuffed toys, we were able to exchange them for a Mario stuffed toy. My mom met with us and we went home.
Tuesday
For four straight days of being outside walking and walking and walking and carrying stuff, my back especially aches. And so, I decided to have myself a massage at MOA. I went straight to jePun Pali, while mom and my brother went to meet with my relatives. They shopped again and strolled around. After my 1-1/2 hour swedish massage (wow very relaxing), I went to Tokyo Cafe to meet with them and have lunch. (I never went to eat here before, because I thought it was very expensive. Having been to Japan, I know food is very expensive. But it’s actually a lot cheaper than some restaurants I know, so plus points for Tokyo Cafe
.) The food tastes great. I decided to pay for the bill without them knowing, but I was seen! Oh well >.< Afterwards, they went strolling again, while I went to Blenz Coffee to work on my thesis. By 5, we went home.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
