Family Reunion and Book Fair
Nothing new is happening everyday, so I have not had a chance to write something interesting. Same old same old. But today, My father’s side relatives had a reunion at my uncle’s house in Caloocan. We ate lunch – very sumptuous – crab, crab-like-but-not-crab creature, shrimp, turkey, chicken soup, birthday noodles, fish fillet (did I forget anything?). We also had a dice game to celebrate the Moon Cake Festival. It was ok i guess. But as with reunions, there are always new things you discover about your relatives. Let’s leave it at that.
After that short yet long reunion, my family headed for the book fair in SMX, Mall of Asia. I was really hyped to enter and take a look at the books in store, but I was somehow disappointed. It’s not as good as it was years before. There were not much stores that participated and the books were not enticing. In the end, I just resorted to my first magazine subscription. It’s about time I guess, for me to start beefing myself up for the near future, and so I subscribed for Newsweek. I’m actually excited to receive my first issue, hopefully early next month. Yay!
