Now on a New Host and December Headache

I’m now on a new hosting provider. So far it’s been ok, and I hope it really continues to be this way. Right now, I am still in the process of updating and transferring everything here, so please bear with me until the end of January. Hopefully, by then, everything is back to normal.
(update) It’s now back online and fixed. Just minor tweaks here and there…
Yes! December headache given to me by my old host – Philhosting. I was fairly happy with the things I’ve done to my blog site – the layout changes, settings, new posts everyday. Then after I came back from a long respite for the Christmas vacation, I found my site in a wreck. Apparently, they upgraded their servers without notice even through email. And I know of some who were also affected by this. I wasn’t able to blog for at least a month. Add to that, I lost 1-2 weeks worth of posts, thus leaving my blog almost bare again for months. Geez. And their support is very unreliable. Imagine the reply given to me after showing them how disappointed I am that they did not even inform their clients properly: We thought you understood the terms when you registered, that users are responsible for backing up files. Uhm,, yeah, I know. I’m not blaming you for back ups but rather for not informing your clients! Really, they really need to fix their service. This was not the first time I encountered bad service on their end, so I decided to move to a new one. Hopefully, it’s all better. But it seems that this host really rates high among clients. So, there. To a new beginning!
