Computer Repair Flowcharts
Computers are around for a long time now, and I’m pretty sure there are a lot of us who have tried tinkering with our computer units in one way or another, maybe just out of curiosity (how things work), or maybe to repair and restore the computer to it’s working state. There’s a guide that can help you, made by Morris Rosenthal – Computer Repair with Diagnostic Flowcharts.
These flowcharts, though not for beginners or the faint-hearted, can surely help seasoned users in troubleshooting hardware problems from boot failures to poor performance (applies to ATX systems).
There are various flowcharts for the following problems that are available online for personal use (however, some of the charts are only available when you purchase the book):
- Power Supply Failure
- Video Card Diagnostics
- CPU, RAM and Motherboard Troubleshooting
- Hard Drive Failure
- CD and DVD Troubleshooting
- Modem Failure
- Sound Card Diagnostics
- Network Troubleshooting
The book is entitled Computer Repair with Diagnostic Flowcharts Revised Edition with ISBN: 0-9723801-7-5 and is sold in Amazon for $14.95.
