Online File Converters
There are times when we are away from home or office and we don’t have our trusty notebooks or machines with us, but still need the power of a file converter to open important files such as CVs, letters, music files, and probably watch a particular video. Here are 2 tools you can use. The best thing about it? They’re free!
You can convert a file into your desired format in 3-4 easy steps.
- Select a file to convert
- Select the output format
- Enter your e-mail address to receive the converted file
- Click the ‘convert’ button
Click on the images to visit their sites.
These sites do not only provide service for converting files. They also allow downloading of videos in the format you choose, and allow you to manage and share files just like the functionality of YouSendIt. YouConvertIt even allows you to convert units of measure!
The following file types (with over 30 file formats) are supported: audio, video, documents, images, archives.
I have personally tried converting docx to pdf using Zamzar, and I didn’t encounter any problems. It was actually fast. In no time, I got my converted file through email. But of course, it depends on the file size you’re trying to convert.
One advice though, be careful in converting files with sensitive information. Of course, these services do their best to keep your information safe, but it never hurts to be on the safe side, right? It’s definitely better to read the terms of service and privacy policy before you use any service in general.
Happy converting!

Hi Nathan,
How are things going? It seems that you've just recently posted. I've tried ZamZar before quite good but not really that impressive. The last time I've used it was trying to convert an FLV file to MP3 but I guess it wasn't supported.
it's nice to know that you're trying to keep your site updated the best way you can although you're busy.

Yeah, I checked the site again and it really does not support FLV to MP3. But there is a site that does that. I think it's http://flvto.com/. I'm indeed trying my best to update it regularly. Right now, I'm busy with the template re-structuring of my site.
