Twitter Lists Make Organizing and Discovering Easy
Last month, Twitter announced that it will have a new feature called Lists. Currently, it’s only offered to a limited few, as it is still on beta stage.
Lists are indeed a “great way to organize the people you follow and discover new and interesting accounts.” This is what I’ve been looking for, for the longest time now. (I was looking for a similar feature to Google Reader Feed Bundles that allows me to quickly add feeds from a certain topic.) Yes, there is a way to add recommended people on Twitter, but it’s mostly famous personalities in the world of music and sports. What if I wanted to add some Tweeters that have a totally different niche than them, like add good reads from bloggers? This is where lists come in. Aside from allowing me to organize, it allows me to look for new people to follow in a faster and more meaningful way than scrolling through thousands of recommended people without any tag or category attached.
Now you ask, where could I possibly search for interesting lists? Here’s one. It’s called Listorious. It’s also still in its infancy stage as of now, but you can already use the site if you have the Lists feature activated in your Twitter account.
If you have access to this feature, be sure to try it out. Let me know what you think.
