Color Scheme Designer
Creating web designs from scratch can be really tricky, especially if you don’t have a ready set of colors to choose from. I, for one, usually rely on my mental image of the final output and simply work from there, experimenting on the exact color along the way. This can sometimes be tedious.
Here’s a free online tool that can help you. It’s called Color Scheme Designer. Try it out. Just rotate the circle to your desired initial color and select from the following options:
- Mono,
- Complement,
- Triad,
- Tetrad,
- Analogic, and
- Accented Analogic.
Extra: COLOURLovers
If you’re not into experimenting and creating color schemes on your own, COLOURLovers is a site where you can find user-submitted color palettes for various uses, whether for ad campaigns, web designs, etc. The site showcases colors, palettes and patterns, with a rating system for following trends.

Thanks so much for sharing this!
I'm not adept at combining colors so I rarely attempt to make my own layouts. (I suck at anything related to art, really.) These tools will be very useful for me.
