Royce Chocolates

It has been a while since I came back from Singapore. I’m actually missing the place already. One of the few things I brought home for souvenir are Royce (too bad the site’s in Japanese) chocolates. I know, I know… These aren’t really originally from Singapore, but I bought them anyway. They also have them here in the Philippines, one in Rockwell and one in Greenbelt 5.

I bought Pure Chocolates, their Nutty Bar Chocolate, and Champagne flavored Nama Chocolates. Yum. They were all delicious. I was also able to taste the Bitter Chocolate, containing rum as far as I remember, and it was also very good.

Visit their website for more drool-friendly photos and descriptions of their chocolates. I don’t think they have all varieties here in the Philippines. Last time I checked, they only have the regular flavors in Greenbelt 5. The price is around Php100 more expensive here. A box of 40 pre-packed circular milk chocolates cost around SGD15 and ~Php550.

When you get the chance, buy those Champagne or Bitter chocolates. I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Era of Empathic Initiative (poem)

Long gone, the era of empathic initiative;
For nothing now is just because.
Every pain left unspoken remains furtive;
As nothing is worth an applause.

Who says the world exists for us,
When we toil in seeking happiness?
We are but a lonely carcass,
Resting under the sun’s blistering caress.

I lie in wait with my tears unnoticed,
With the wind as my sole company.
As thoughts are together pieced,
I realize that no one will come for me.

The world is occupied, as usual.
It won’t ask me how I am doing.
Only a shot of hope remains residual,
To know that the world initiates in asking.

My fervent wish is to feel that day,
When that era awakens from its slumber.
When a simple ‘Hey, hey are you okay?’
Makes a whole lot of difference altogether.

Photography and Updates

I’ve started to have an interest in photography. Though I’m still a novice, and by all means not a professional, I will need all the help I can get to perfect the craft. As I’ve been busy with work and various stuff, I’m unable to constantly pursue it. However, I’ve got a few here for the mean time to show you.

Within a month, I will be remodeling the site for some planned changes, including (but of course not limited to) a photo gallery for the more “artistic” shots that I have taken, and updating the portfolio with a new project I am currently engaging in. I don’t want to preempt everything.. so that if I won’t be able to accomplish them all, you won’t be disappointed.. But those 2 are definitely updates within the next weeks.

I have lots of plans for a lot of things, so hopefully I get to do most, if not all of them. It’s just hard to juggle everything, given that I still have lots of studying to do for work
